Responsibilities: |
| Protus is a leader in the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) industry. Protus utilizes primarily Microsoft technologies to support the operation of its SaaS offerings. The current billing system was developed in house and processes, in real time, millions of transactions a day. The Research & Development group at Protus requires the services of a Sr. Billing Architect to lead in the design of the next generation billing system for their multi product SaaS platform servicing over 400,000 customers. |
Requirements: |
- Minimum 5 years of proven leadership in designing and planning the implementation of billing systems.
- Minimum 3 years experience in designing real time billing systems.
- Minimum 5 years experience in working with billing systems in a technical capacity.
- Good software development background.
- Solid experience with accounting systems; preferably Great Plains.
- Solid experience with collecting and documenting business and technical requirements related to billing and accounting systems.
- Solid project management experience

- Knowledge with existing commercial real time billing systems is a great asset
- Demonstrable history of leading small teams to drive complete billing projects with rapidly changing requirements.
- Research and evaluation skills for 3rd party products and tools required
- Experience with data warehouse technologies would be an asset
