Bryan joined EdgeStone Capital Partners as Partner in January 2000. EdgeStone provides capital, strategic direction and business and financial advice to help promising mid-market and early-stage companies achieve their full potential. The EdgeStone Venture Fund has a dedicated, entrepreneurial management team with strong investment track records and a high degree of successful and relevant operating experience.
Joseph Nour
Chief Executive Officer, Protus
Joseph is Co-Founder, and CEO of Protus. Joseph's vision and passion have propelled Protus from conception to incorporation.
As CEO, Joseph's infectious enthusiasm makes him the company's principal advocate and most dynamic evangelist. Joseph has had an extensive and varied career in the telecommunications industry, including over 16 years of experience in the development and deployment of voice and data communications products and services for leading Canadian telephone companies.
Joseph holds a Bachelors Degree of Applied Science (Electrical Engineering) and an executive MBA from the University of Ottawa.
Simon Nehme
Chief Technology Officer, Protus
As Founder and CTO, Simon has driven Protus from a technical perspective, delivering leading-edge products to a growing market. Simon anticipated the development of an IP messaging market, and created a scalable architecture that continues to deliver new features - encompassing integrated messaging.
As Chief Technology Officer he encourages and fosters innovation and creativity in Protus software development efforts while managing the operation and technology infrastructure.
Simon is a graduate of the University of Ottawa and holds a BSc in Computer Engineering.

John Richardson
Chief Executive Officer, BEST Funds
John is President and Director of the fund manager and advisor, BEST Investment Counsel Limited for The B.ES.T. Discoveries Fund Inc. He is also President of B.E.S.T. Capital Management Ltd. and Absolute Private Counsel Limited the advisor for B.E.S.T. Total Return Fund Inc. John is involved in all aspects of the firm's business, from his role in the sales and marketing function to managing the business activities of BEST Funds. Prior to starting BEST Funds, John was with an organization aimed at enhancing Canada's ability to compete in the global marketplace through the start-up of new businesses. John has been a Chartered Accountant for over 15 years and Chartered Business Valuator for 4 years. He also holds a Masters in Business Administration degree from the State University of New York
Eid Eid
Founder and President of Axentra Corp
Eid Eid has 20 years of experience in the computer and software industry, ranging from product design and development to senior executive management. Eid joined Corel Corporation in 1989 and rose through the ranks to become Vice President of Technology. In this capacity, he led an organization of 1,000+ employees and steered the development of all Corel products, including Graphics, Office Suite and CorelVIDEO. Eid was also responsible for the Technical Support and IT departments. In his last tenure at Corel, Eid founded and became the President of Corel Computer with a mission to design, manufacture and market Linux and Java based Network Computers. Prior to joining Corel, Eid held many hardware and software engineering positions in Canada and France. He holds a Masters of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (1981) from the E.S.I.E.A. Paris, France.
Matthew J. Hall
VP Investments, Covington Capital Corp
Matt joined Covington in 2004 and works on all elements of the investment process, including reviewing new business plans, performing due diligence, structuring transactions and monitoring existing investments. In addition, Matt assists in the formulation of the investment strategy for Covington's Community Small Business Investment Fund that is sponsored by the Ivey School of Business.
Prior to coming to Covington, Matt worked in investment management at Great-West Life Co. and as an analyst at Marcus Evans, a technology-focused consulting firm.
Matt holds an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario where he graduated on the Dean's List, and a BACS in Business Administration from Huron College University.
Matt currently sits on the Board of the Ivey Fund I & II and Fidelity Stainless Ltd. and functions as an observer on the Board of Software Innovation Inc., Linea Marketing Group, and TNR Industrial Doors.
